A bitsa cake!!

Well it's been a long time between photos!! Rest assure people I am back and man are there some cakes or are there some cakes happening round here!! Am really excited about the requests coming in for cakes, so much fun to be had, with a pinch of stress no doubt ;-) This cake was ordered by Kim for her husband Michael who is celebrating his 50th birthday today. I call it a bitsa cake, cause Kim along with some other customers give me a list of things that they would like to include on their cake for various reasons. It's becoming a little popular, I think it's cute and it makes it so much more personal. So Michael's story is that he loves playing golf and football, he was a policeman and now he has a pool business!! Voila a bitsa cake hehehehe.

Drum roll please.......

I honestly think this cake needs a drum roll, if only for the fact it's a boy cake!!! Yay. Boy cakes are pretty much non existent around here :-( I'm not sure why, boys eat cake don't they?? Anyway, I jump at the chance to do boy cakes and cake styles I've never done before, always so much fun. Here's one I made for young Callum, a soccer and Socceroos fan!! I've been dying to make a 3d soccer ball, or a 3d ball cake of any type, and finally I got my chance. I loved doing it, so much fun. Happy birthday Callum, hope you had a great day and ate way too many lollies and cake ;-)

Now here's some bitsa cupcakes!! Maddie ordered these for her daughter Brittany's 12th birthday. Brittany, loves blue (much to mums disgust!!) and requested some ballet, soccer and the beach cuppies. I heard they were a hit!! Happy Birthday.

Mum Marissa ordered these cakes for her daughter Brooke who turned 8. She wanted to incorporate all things that Brooke loves such as soccer, strawberries and butterflies. Marissa choose all the designs herself and all I had to do was make them!!

Sporty Jack!!

Some very sporty cupcakes for Jack who is sports mad. The faces are meant to be him, I thought it added something personal and quirky to the set. I do hope he got a kick out of them!!

Made these football cakes for Oliver who is a big fan of the cowboys. Mum Fiona ordered these so he could take to school for his 9th birthday.

Soccer Cakes.

I love it when customers give me free run when creating their happy cakes. I also love repeat customers, I at least know I'm doing something right! You might remember, but I recently did some cupcakes for Erin, well they were a hit apparently. Mum rang me again this week and asked if I could do some for her son, Rhys, who at the last minute wanted a party and cake! Teenagers! Like the first time, she was none too stressed, pretty much left it all up to me. I have to admit initially I was slightly freaking out, I mean what do you do for a 14 year old teenage boy. Soccer anyone??P.S My daughter just loved these, and insisted I make her one with pink grass!
