Amara's Christening Cake.

Good morning all! Here's a christening cake with a little difference! Since visiting Disneyland Amara (now just over 2) has been a mickey/minnie mouse fan. So when mum ordered this cake she wanted to stick within this theme. I know a true Mickey/Minnie cake would be red and black but we adapted this a little. Hope you enjoy your cake Amara ;-)

Now here's a very pretty christening cake (well I think so!). I made this for Pamela who's christening her little one today. This was a very last minute order, luckily for Pamela someone had cancelled. See miracles can happen hehehehe. I really love the end look of this cake. I hope you have a lovely day with your family & friends Zahra.

A vintage christening....

Kya contacted me looking for a christening cake for her little daughter Lola. Kya wanted a vintage theme using white and baby pink. Later in anther email she mentioned lace. So after much thought, playing, making & practicing I created this little number ;-) I love the way my lace turned out, I was super excited that I'd managed to create these all by myself and my flower, well I'm lovin it to! Actually I was pretty pleased with this cake. Kya I hope you had a lovely day and enjoyed your cake!

A special present....

I think I'm pretty lucky to create for people for their special occasions and I think I'm even luckier when I get to do it more than once!! I made this present cake for little Milla who celebrated her 1st birthday last weekend. I had so much fun creating this one, so girly and pretty. Happy birthday Milla, I hope you enjoyed your day ;-)
P.S I should say that this cake was inspired by an image I saw over a year ago!! I thought it was so pretty. I can't remember who the caker was, but thank you for inspiring me ;-)

A Jungle Christening.

Now here's a christening cake with a difference! Naomi contacted me saying that she wanted a jungle themed cake for her little boy Hunter. Naomi, said she was quite happy to leave the design and colours up to me, which ban be a little nerve racking believe it or not, cause what I like you might not like!! I spoke with Naomi again and she assured me that she didn't want tradtional or the colour black, so ta da!! P.S Need to mention that this cake or the vine effect at the top was inspired by Andrea's Sweetcakes.

Milla's Christening

Marita contacted me a little while ago to create a christening cake for her gorgeous little daughter Milla. Armed with instructions to try and replicate the invitation and colours to use, this is what I created!! This would have to go down as one of my all time favourite cakes!!

A spotty christening!

Here's a very pretty cake I made for Maureen's little grandson who was christened over the weekend. I love the simplicity of this cake, it's just so elegant and super cute for a boy! This cake is 100% baked from scratch and the decorations are handmade by moi. I hope you and your family enjoyed the cake Maureen.

A Dove Christening

I made this cake for a little girl being christened today. Maddie requested this cake after seeing a picture of this cake and loving it. I have to thank Helena for letting me borrow her design. The dove was meant to have the wings out to look like it was flying, but after nearly 4 hours of trying to get it right I gave up and did my own thing!! It's such a girly cake, you just can't go wrong with pink & white, love those two colours together.signature 2

Christening Cake.

I've made a 2 tiered version of this cake before for twins. Justine asked if I could make the same for her little boy Campbells christening only using one tier. I don't think I could get tired of this cake, it's just so lovely, even if I say so myself!! I'm getting better with my bears, slowly!! I could spend hours making these sorts of things, so therapeutic :-)signature 2

A very butterfly christening.

I've made this cake before, however this is slightly varied. Customer requested butterflies instead of booties. I love the little butterflies, even though they're a pain to make!! This cake had to travel a little way to it's final destination, Ingham, hopefully it arrived safe n sound. Raspberry white chocolate mud cake. This was Mr Happy Cakes favourite photo from the shoot, so I thought I'd share it with you!!signature 2

Paige & Will's Christening.

Today was a special day here at the Happy Cakes family, we celebrated the christening of our 2 children, Paige & Will. Of course at any good Happy Cake gathering there was cake to be had!! Something very simple that I put together within hrs the night before!! Not sure why I do it to myself, that's twice this week I've... left the cake till the night before. Please let it be known to all my customers, you do get more than the night before!! I just procrastinate when it comes to my own cakes, wish I knew someone to make mine.....

Fit for a Quinn.

Happy Cakes first christening. I love the simplicity of these. I am a big believer in less is more and I think this arrangement is nothing less than stunning. Even if I say so myself!!
