I'm coming to Brisbane!!!!

Hi Everyone,

Well it's been a while, sorry to have neglected you all :-( So much has been going on what with work, work and work, not to mention children, husband, house and trying to have a life! Who am I kidding I have no life hehehehe. I'm sure there are a lot of you in the same boat, it's the merry go round called life!

Anyway that's enough about me, lets get on to the fun-ness that is cake! I've decided to take Happy Cakes on the road and the first place I'll be visiting is Brisbane. I'm really looking forward to this and hope that you can come to the course or at least help me spread the word. At this stage I have only set one date, 16th of January 2012. Obviously if you guys book this out and want more then I would be more than happy to come back.

Anyone willing to distribute flyers for this would be greatly appreciated. E-mail me your address and I'd be happy to post you some ;-) I really really really want to teach in Brisbane hehehe.

Brisbane Anyone??

Hi everyone and in particular everyone in Brisbane!!

Who would like to see me in January 2012?? I'm thinking of running a Springtime Funtime course. It would be a weekday course. If you want to find out about the boring details click on the Course Information tab on the blog ;-) This course covers a variety of piping techniques that I show you on cupcakes, but this can be translated onto bigger cakes as well. It's also an introduction into the world of fondant where we make bugs, bees, snails, flowers etc.

Please let me know if you are serious about this happening & fingers crossed it might happen!! I know it's smack bang in the middle of school holidays, but we all need a break from the kids hehehehehe and it really is a fun course ;-)

Cost - $250
Duration - Half day workshop (Times to be confirmed) Minimum 4 hrs
Dates - 20th of August
Location - Oonoonba Community Centre
Level - Beginner
This workshop promises to "bee" a whole lot of fun with plenty of laughs and a great introduction to the crazy cake world!! All equipment will be provided and no previous experience in cake decorating is required.
Take Home - 12 Happy Cakes cupcakes decorated by you!
Refreshments - Tea, coffee and light afternoon tea will be provided.

This course incorporates teachings from the Frosting Secrets Course, which covers basic piping techniques along with fondant modelling work. This is a beginner level course into the world of cake decorating. During this course we will make 12 different cupcake designs to be displayed on 12 cupcakes which will have a combination of both fondant decorations and frosting finishes. The toppers include ladybugs, mushrooms, flowers, bees etc. These toppers will tie in with the Springtime Funtime theme.

This course is all about having fun and really is a great introduction into the crazy and fun world of cake decorating. Come with a group, a friend or just yourself, but whatever you do bring an apron, this course gets messy hehehe.

How would you feel about Happy Cakes running a basic buttercream cupcake decorating course??!! This course is aimed at the beginner level and focuses on piping skills only. This course is for people who want to be able to make pretty cupcakes for their friends and family, you know the kind that pop over at the last minute. After doing this course you'll be able to wow them with your mad piping skillz!!
