Make Believe Wedding!

Hi,

Recently I was asked to create a dessert table for a local wedding shoot. The idea was to showcase local suppliers within the area and create a 'Make Believe Wedding'. This would hopefully inspire future brides and show them that anything is possible. The theme of this wedding was rustic/vintage feel with a citrus inspired twist. I had a lot of fun creating this table. Something a bit different to what I usually do.

Introducing Mr & Mrs Bowen!

So here's some pictures from the weekends dessert table and wedding cake! It was a very vintage, chic & romantic wedding, so pretty. I stayed around for a sneak peek at the lovely bride and oh my she was simply gorgeous. It was a gorgeous day to get married to, simply divine, I do hope Mr & Mrs Bowen had a fabulous day with so many more to come!! Congratulations to you both.

An Island Wedding....

Went on a little excursion today to the Island today! I had the pleasure in playing a role in creating a very tropical wedding scene for Sally and her husband to be Dillon! The wedding was always about having fun and being very relaxed with the bridal party wearing thongs! This was an all outdoors wedding with the ceremony on the beach and the reception just a hop skip & a jump outside on the surf life saving club on the Island. The scene was totally beautiful. I sat down for five mins and took it all in. I do hope the rain held out for the bride & groom.

Sweets sweets sweets & more

Wow, another HUGE weekend here at HC!! I had the opportunity to create another dessert table this weekend and this time it was for the Grammer Schools annual gala dinner and the theme was Cotton Club. For 260 people I had to call in for back up so thanks to my lovely sister for helping with this, you're awesome!! It was an amazing setup, the venue was completely decked out with everything 1920's, including 2 old fashioned cars parked out the front, red carpet the works, just stunning. Big thank you to Chelsea for allowing HC to create this table for the big event, you did an amazing job, I hope you got to relax with a few wines last night!!

Jane & Vin's Dessert Table

Here is my latest dessert table!! It's been months in the planning and finally today I got to see it altogether ;-) Jane had an idea of what she wanted, she sent me her inspiration board!! So with that in tow I set about creating this colourful table for her and Vin. Congratulations to you both, I hope you have a wonderful day today and enjoy all those desserts.

My Paigey's 6th Birthday.

Wow what a weekend!! Along with my orders for the week, I had my Paigey's birthday party yesterday. She only requested a dessert table, not much at all!! The girl is surounded by sweet yumminess constantly and I suppose she wanted a piece of it hehehe. There was no theme to the table just fun, cute, girly, pink, & sweet sweet sugar!! I won't wish her a happy birthday just yet, as she doesn't offically turn 6 till tomorrow and I want to hold onto every day of 5 :-(

Rock n Roll!!

Out of all the photos I took this is only one that worked. It would appear I'm not the photo taking genius I would like to be!! Luckily for me my husband is!! Anyhow, these cakes were for a young lady who turned 21. She's into music, hard rock music and she plays the drums. You can't see here but I made musical notes and drum sticks as well as these heavy metal hands!!

The Ultimate Dessert Table!

Wow, what an amazing weekend. My dream job with dream clients took place!! Last year Julie made contact with me about her wedding. She was so lovely, definitely not the typical bride. As we sat at her dinner table I remember her saying that they were going to have a lolly bar, but didn't really want it. I asked her what she wanted and she said she really wanted a table of sweets, old style, kitch kind of sweets. I asked her why she wasn't having it, to me it sounded like a fabulous idea, she said that she didn't think anyone would do it for her. Of course I offered straight away, it sounded exciting, such fun and something so different. And from that moment the dessert table was born!! Seriously this wedding has kept me going for so long, it's been something that I've looked forward to forever. Not sure what I'm going to do now.... I honestly don't think I've met a nicer couple, really they're both just gorgeous. Julie & Luke congratulations and thank you for letting me be apart of your special day. I really need to thank my sister Maria, who helped out with some of the desserts. I couldn't have done it without her.
