Lazy Sunday...not quite.

It's Sunday afternoon here. Traditionally it is the only day of the week that I don't do anything cakey related. Today however, I felt like baking!! Which is kind of weird, only cause generally I only bake when I have to not just because. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do, but I don't like doing it if I don't have to ;-) Anyway back to today, I felt like baking, I've been wanting to trial some recipes. One was a vanilla type cake. Something with a little guts as it would need to hold fondant, decorations and cakes! It's one that I've never quite been able to master. And today was no different it was a flop, literally. Bit disappointed, never fear though I will conquer you one day vanilla cake hehehe. The other thing I made today for the first time was marshmallow creme, I think, I say I think cause I just made something from a few different sources and I've never had marshmallow creme before so I don't have anything to compare it to. And let me tell you, oh my god it's amazing!! It's glossy and sexy and I think I'm in love!! Now though I have all this frosting and no cake to frost :-( Ah well back to the drawing board for me!
