Happy Cakes goes Bollywood!!

Made these for Ally who had her birthday over the weekend at Marsala. Theme was bollywood!! The paisley's big and little were a challenge to make, but I think the end result is pretty cool. Love the bold colours too.

Musical Happy Cakes.

I often wonder what types of orders I'll get next!! Wendi contacted me recently saying it was her husband's 30th and he was into music, old school stuff, falcons and guitars, in particular starburst fenders. Starburst fender I hear you say, well you gotta love google!! Anyway after a little discussion we decided upon musical cupcakes. I have to admit, I often think to myself, who would have thought I'd be making these types of cupcakes.... I wonder what my next request will be.
P.S As pointed out by both my husband and Wendi's husband, I know, the necks are around the wrong way!!!!

Not the prettiest....

Ok, compared to all my other cakes, you'll agree this one is not pretty. I am sure though, it's happy!! And with a nice oreo on top, I do believe it's very yummy!!! Oreo cupcakes, is there nothing better with a cup of tea...

These just make me smile....

There are some orders I do and think I'm glad it's over, I never want to do that again!! Then there are some I just want to do all the time, like the Bella Bug range. These are just too cute and if they don't bring a little happiness to you, well I don't know what will!! With a little variation to the original range, these little cuppies will always be cakes for my happy!!

Smile!!

Made these recently for a client aka friend who has been visiting Smile Dental (smiledental.com.au) a lot lately!! She wanted to say thanks for always squeezing them in.

My fairy turns 5....

Well, my not so baby girl turned 5 today and we celebrated her party in style yesterday. I say this all the time, but really where have the 5 years gone..... She says to Dad "Mum doesn't want me to grow up any more, it makes her sad because I won't be her baby anymore". And the fact is, it does make me feel old!! Anyway, Paige's theme was fairies. She's been slightly obsessed with them for quite some time now, so it was an obvious choice. After much debate over the type of cake she wanted she chose this. I was slightly nervous at her choice, as I've never done anything like this, however, she loved it. I had been telling her all week that I had bought her a cake, much to her disappointment to throw her off the track!! Cruel I know, but you gotta get your kicks where you can!! Happy birthday to my not so baby girl, Paigey Bear. xo.Fairy Courtney and Fairy Dallas flew all the way from Fairyland to spend the afternoon with my Paigey Bear and her friends. Thank you fairies, we miss you already!!

Confirmation Happy Cakes.

I made these over the weekend for a young girl who had her confirmation. I love the shimmery effect these cakes have, so very pretty!!

Payment Terms.

Hello All,
Just a quick note to explain my payment options. Happy Cakes at this point in time does not have a shop front and as such I work out of my sisters cafe, Lukabean. Happy Cakes and Lukabean are two separate businesses, so whilst pickup is available through the cafe, use of the Eftpos and credit card facilities is not. In the past I've made this clear to customers upon confirmation of their booking, but in some instances the people who've come in to pick up the order haven't been aware of this. It causes some embarrassment for myself and for the cafe staff when this happens, so, in order to avoid this, I want to make clear my payment options.
Payment terms are cash and direct deposit only.

Thanks

Leoni.
