Casino Style 21st.

Now if you don't know by now, I love new projects, and this was no exception. Sheridan contacted me months ago to make some cupcakes for her 21st birthday party. She was having a modern day casino themed party and wanted cupcakes to fit in with her theme. I delivered them on Saturday, and couldn't believe how much trouble she had gone to for her night of celebration. The venue looked fantastic, she even had gaming tables. Happy birthday Sheridan, I hope you had a great night.

A Pirate, a pirate, a pirate says

arhhhhhhh. Ok, so for those who have kids that watch The Backyardigans, you should get that!! Well, boy cupcake requests are few and far between, so I relish the opportunity to do them. I fell in love with these little characters, they were a challenge, but arhhhh, I do love them me hearties!!

Yongala Gala!!

One of Townsville's oldest hotels has recently been purchased by new owners, Rob & Natalie. To celebrate their relaunching of this majestic building I was asked to supply some Happy Cakes for their occasion. After making and decorating 250 of these dainty little morsels, my sister aptly renamed me Surly Cakes!! I have to admit I was a little daunted taking on this number of cakes especially at such short notice, however, the end result I believe was more than enough to restore a happy little cake to my heart!! Congratulations to Rob & Natalie.

Très Chic Cupcakes

Received an order to make some birthday cuppies for "MT" who loves the old style high tea look. The colours requested were black and red. I love the classic look these have.

Stars Wars

Star Wars would have to be my most requested cupcake. It's so hard for me as I'm loathed to say it, have never seen the movies. I know, some may think it's odd, but I'm more of a SATC type of girl!! Anyway I hope the birthday boy liked these.

Bella Bug's 3rd Birthday Party

Making cakes is hard, but when you have to make it for friends they're even harder. For me anyway, the pressure is on to perform!! Aunty Kath asked me to make some cakes for Bella, who had a bug party down at Queen's gardens. Bella is divine. Aunty Kath reckons she's a handful, I don't see it. She's the youngest of 3 and the only girl, need I say anymore. Happy Birthday Bella, wish I'd been there to celebrate with you. Oh yeah Kath, Willy is still talking about Bella's party and wants to go back to it!! xo.Thanks Naomi for letting me borrow your design.

A touch of Hannah Montana...

Trying to play catch up at the moment! Here's some cakes I did for Lynaire's daughter Sophie, who turned 11. She requested something simple and girly with a Hannah Montana feel. After a little research and advice from my daughter, this is what I came up with. I'm always nervous with new designs, but I have been advised that the cakes "were fantastic". Thanks Lynaire.

Pretty in Pink!

Carla contacted me at the last minute to make her daughter some very pinky, girly, pretty, ballet happy cakes. I just can't say no to a mum in distress! Besides she promised to make my son's birthday cake, cause I'm booked out over his birthday weekend! How could I refuse. The answer is yes Carla, you do have to make my son's cake!!

Cake me up before you go-go!

An eighties themed 21st. A far cry from her original request for princess cupcakes! I delivered these cakes on Saturday to Kiah's party and after coming home I told my husband, "that it was the kind of party that was so cool that I'd wished I'd been invited to!" Happy birthday Kiah. I'm sure you had a fantastic evening.

Congratulations Robert & Carly

Made these very girly and dragonfly cupcakes for Robert and Carly's engagement party, in Hughenden. For those of you who may not know Hughenden is a small country town some 400kms west of Townsville. Mum Lynda was organising a twilight engagement party on the veranda of their hotel to celebrate, which I'm sure would have been a lovely night.

Par-Tee!

Happy 36th birthday to Guy. Possibly into golf, not entirely sure!!
