Summer is Here!

I know it's Spring, but I do believe Townsville misses that season altogether!! This was the theme of Miss Annabel's 6th birthday party, which she celebrated down at the Strand waterpark. When Miranda (mum) order some cuppies with the summer is here theme, the first thing that came to my mind were lollipops, sunshine, strawberries, watermelon etc. I'm just so glad that Miranda was thinking the same thing as me!! My absolute favourite out of this set is definitely the sundae!! What's yours???

Dog Gone!!!

I received a request to make a dog themed cake with some matching cupcakes for a 21st but it wasn't really a 21st it was for a lady turning 60 (I think, from memory!) who was leaving her job. Confused?? Well so was I!

Kirsty's 19th

I've made this cake before, this is just a different colour variation from to an existing design. I love the boldness of these colours though, they work so beautifully together. And of course there were some matching cupcakes to go with the cake!!

Made this cake with my sister upon request from a customer. She supplied us with the design she wanted, which we can not take credit for. It is quite cute though!!

The Ultimate Dessert Table!

Wow, what an amazing weekend. My dream job with dream clients took place!! Last year Julie made contact with me about her wedding. She was so lovely, definitely not the typical bride. As we sat at her dinner table I remember her saying that they were going to have a lolly bar, but didn't really want it. I asked her what she wanted and she said she really wanted a table of sweets, old style, kitch kind of sweets. I asked her why she wasn't having it, to me it sounded like a fabulous idea, she said that she didn't think anyone would do it for her. Of course I offered straight away, it sounded exciting, such fun and something so different. And from that moment the dessert table was born!! Seriously this wedding has kept me going for so long, it's been something that I've looked forward to forever. Not sure what I'm going to do now.... I honestly don't think I've met a nicer couple, really they're both just gorgeous. Julie & Luke congratulations and thank you for letting me be apart of your special day. I really need to thank my sister Maria, who helped out with some of the desserts. I couldn't have done it without her.

1st Birthdays

I'm well and truly past the whole 1st birthday event, however, it's such a special one. I made these cupcakes for Jaxon who has just had his first birthday. Mum wanted something that kids would relate too and she suggested the bees, balloons, dinosaurs etc. My favourite out of this collection is definitely the smiley face, it's just so happy!!
