Boy or Girl??

Some simple and yet classic happy cakes for a mum to be. Not knowing what she is having, the colour theme was obviously yellow and white.

Flowers & Seashells

Made these for a lady's 60th birthday. On the advice that she loved flowers, shells and that the invites were green!!

Just a Reminder.

Happy Cakes is a small business consisting only of me!! Everything I do is hand made, yes all the decorations I make, and the cakes are baked, brace yourselves with real ingredients. I do not use packet mixes. All of these things are quite labour intensive, especially the making of decorations. I would ask that you keep this in mind when you are considering Happy Cakes to make your happy cakes. I do hate turning people away, but lately I seem to be doing this a fair bit. Which is good and bad!! Maybe it's time to expand..... To create these cakes and to really get the Happy Cake experience, please book as soon as possible. The earlier the better. Obviously any last minute orders I will try and do if available, however, to avoid any disappointment I do recommend getting in early. The thought of someone having to go elsewhere after turning them away pains me, cause really who doesn't want a Happy Cake!!

Beautiful cupckaes for a special occasion.

Fit for a Quinn.

Happy Cakes first christening. I love the simplicity of these. I am a big believer in less is more and I think this arrangement is nothing less than stunning. Even if I say so myself!!

Just for my Wilby....

It was my little one's birthday yesterday. Well it's actually today, but we had our little party yesterday. He's obsessed with aquatic animals. The kid is too smart for his own good. For example he knows the difference between a humpback whale, beluga whale, sperm whale etc. He knows what a nudibranch is do you?? And he's only just turned 3!! So of course, all he's been asking for is an "undersea cake". How could I refuse. He cried when it came time to cut the cake. Broke my heart, I was seconds away from telling everyone they couldn't have any cake!!
P.S Please excuse the photos, with all the excitement and commotion of the party, it was the one thing I forgot to do. Bit rushed!!Oh the devastation!!Here he is having his mini melt down!!

Happy Snaps!!

I do love it when people send in their happy snaps. I just love seeing people enjoying them, makes it all worth it. Sheridan, who recently had her Casino themed 21st, just posted these on Happy Cakes Facebook, couldn't resist sharing them. I have to admit I love the one of Sheridan's niece. Apparently she was sprung getting into her second happy cake in this photo! Luckily I gave you a few extra gluten free ones Sheridan!!
