Surfs up dude!!

Ok, we all know how I get excited over new themes, well this is a fairly cool one, it was a surf/beach party. Not only was the theme cool, but these happy cakes were for a boy!! That's two things to be excited about! I very rarely get the opportunity to do happy cakes for boys, I don't know why. My favourite ones are the surfboards, I think these are pretty cute, I mean rad!! Believe it or not those little splotches took me forever!! Altogether though I think they look pretty cool! Happy birthday Sam.

Just for you Renee....

Where to begin... Renee contacted me a couple of months ago to create some happy cakes for her sister who was turning 21. She was passionate and very enthusiastic about them, which I do love. She also knew exactly want she wanted, like it had to be a 5 pointed star and not a six! She would always apologise to me, saying that she was sorry for being such a pain. Like I said to her, "at least your nice", which is so true. It was funny, the day of the party when I dropped the cakes over, Renee was so excited, she loved the cakes. She told me that they were too nice to eat and that she didn't want anyone to eat them. So to Renee, my most fussy, decisive, funny, lovely gorgeous customer who now I just adore!!

Dog Gone!!!

I love requests for happy cakes with themes I haven't done before. Chelsea contacted me and said that she would like dog themed cupcakes and her favourite colour is purple. I also suspect these were "just because" cupcakes. My most favourite reason to have cupcakes!!
