Cupcake in a Cone!

I had some left over mixture on Sunday from an order, which was lucky, cause we had a BBQ to go to. What sort of friend would I have been if I didn't bring cupcakes for the kids! I think it's expected... I thought I'd try something that was fun. Icecream is yummy, but oh so messy, but a cucpake dressed as an icecream cone, maybe not as messy!

Ok, so I have to confess, these are so my happy cakes right now! They just make me smile! I made these for a girl who turned 8 and who wanted fairy themed cupcakes. I love it! I tried to give it a real garden theme as well, cause we all know fairies love the garden.

Soccer Cakes.

I love it when customers give me free run when creating their happy cakes. I also love repeat customers, I at least know I'm doing something right! You might remember, but I recently did some cupcakes for Erin, well they were a hit apparently. Mum rang me again this week and asked if I could do some for her son, Rhys, who at the last minute wanted a party and cake! Teenagers! Like the first time, she was none too stressed, pretty much left it all up to me. I have to admit initially I was slightly freaking out, I mean what do you do for a 14 year old teenage boy. Soccer anyone??P.S My daughter just loved these, and insisted I make her one with pink grass!

Pink Ribbon Day 27 October

I know it's a little early, but Pink Ribbon Day is nearing upon us and Happy Cakes has decided to create a Pink Ribbon Cupcake. No peaking, all will be revealed! $1.00 from each and every Pink Ribbon Cupcake sold will be donated to Breast Cancer Research. So gather your work colleagues around for a morning tea, invite your girlfriends over for a cuppa, or for no reason other than to indulge yourself and order your Pink Ribbon Cupcake now! Yet another Star Wars fan, this time the beautiful Kathleen's nine year old son Patrick. Not only was it Star Wars but it was also a silver theme with a special request from Patty for a thin layer of icing! Voila, real Patty Cakes!

I would like to apologise to anyone that made the journey down to the Strand Night Markets to visit me on Friday. Unfortunately I was struck down Thursday night with some kind of bug and was too ill to man a stall on Friday night. Needless to say I have dozens of naked (un iced) homeless cupcakes!

Happy Cakes goes to the Markets...

Well, I've decided to try and spread my wings. Or should I say my name! Happy Cakes will be at the Strand Night Markets this Friday Night from 5pm till 9.30pm. It's turning out to be bigger than I could possibly have imagined! Hence I'm slightly stressed. I am however very excited. I'll have so much on offer and I'm sure there will be something for everyone. There will be Itty Bitty's for the kids as well as the not so little kids. I'll also have some little Halloween surprises! They're going to look so cute, or should I say so gross! Plus there will be plenty of others. I don't want to give too much away! So you'll just have to come down. I'm hoping I'll have a sell out performance, so come early!
