Hello Kitty.

I honestly love that I get so many different requests for cakes, from frogs, sushi, army, bugs (of all kind), ballerinas and so on... A new one I can add to my list this week, Hello Kitty! I made this cake for Holly who turned 18 over the weekend. Her mum, Mardi ordered the cake and I hear it was a hit!! What fun it was to create!!

We all know frogs go la di da di da....

They don't go glumph glumph glumph!! I couldn't resist that!! I should probably add I'm not insane, people with kids or people who work with kids will understand!! Besides it's appropriate for these little fellows. Now I know there's a lot of photos, but how could I choose between them? It's like someone asking me to choose between my kids, just not possible! These little cakes were for Lucy who turned 2 and has a "thing" for frogs. Happy Birthday.

Bella-rina's Garden.

Bella-rina's Garden Cupcakes!! This is what mum Cassandra told me to think about when it came time to making her daughters christening cakes. There had to be lots of flowers, butterflies, crowns & ballet shoes, not to mention lots of pink and purple!!

Aloha!

Here's some Hawaiian cupcakes I made for 2 different people whose daughters were both having Hawaiian themed parties over the weekend. It was weird getting the same request for a new theme for 2 people on the same day!! Anyway, Hau' oli la hanau (Happy Birthday) Sophie and Olivia!!

Giant Ladybug...

Tracey contacted me gosh, well over 6 mths ago to make her daughter Mackenzie's birthday cake. She was having a teddy bears picnic and wanted a giant ladybug cake with some little ladybug cupcakes to match. Now I was slightly scared, because, let's face it, a mother who plans her daughter's birthdays 8 mths in advance is a force not to be messed with!! She's definitely hardcore! I was very pleased and slightly relieved when Tracey phoned that afternoon to let me know she loved the cake and thought it was amazing. I really appreciate those types of calls, makes what I do worthwhile ;-)
Stay tuned for Tracey's next daughter's birthday in November that I'm doing, can't wait!

House warming...

Melissa contacted me a little while ago wanting some cupcakes for her house warming, she was tossing up between St George Illawara decorations or going with a house warming theme. I was hoping for the housey version, but she went with the St George theme :-( Luckily for me St George didn't make the finals and at the beginning of the week she decided to go with a house warming theme. Yay me!!! I love a new design ;-)

Ashley's 18th.

Now I know I've made this cake before, but I don't think any two cakes that I make are ever the same. It gets boring otherwise!! Even it's as simple as placing a flower in a different spot. Mum Cherie asked me to make this cake for her daughter after seeing the red, white & purple version. She wanted some matching cupcakes as well with her daughers age, initial, some butterflies, flowers, with one on some and two on others.... I was a little nervous about this colour combination, but I think this could become a new favourite. I'm loving it sick!! And those cupcakes, they're so cute, I'm lovin them too, I just hope I get some for my birthday!!

An elegant wedding....

These cakes were for a wedding in Mission Beach, 3 1/2 hrs or so from here. The bride & groom picked the cakes up themselves. I was totally stressing about them getting damaged in the car trip, however I've been advised that they did arrive safe and sound!! I can't wait to see photo's of the setup!!
