Gung-ho Cupcakes!
Some army style cupcakes were in order for a young boy who was celebrating his 5th birthday in army style at Fab 4 Parties. I certainly had to get in touch with my inner boy for these! Not a sprinkle or hint of girly or pink, quite proud I am!!

Superheroes Cake
Mum Fiona contacted us recently to make a cake for her son who was celebrating his 4th birthday with a superheroes party. She sent through a picture which she'd found and said looked pretty cool! Fiona's exact words to me were, "Owen can't decide which one of the superheroes he likes best - changes daily so this cake is perfect!" So I suppose this cake covers all bases, Superman, Spiderman and Batman! I can't take full credit for this cake, it was a joint effort between myself and Maria. I still think I got the fun part of decorating even though she thinks she got the better deal of baking and covering!!

Upsy Daisy
My old neighbour and lovely friend Sonia asked me to make a cake for her divine, gorgeous, cute and adorable daughter's 1st birthday. All she said was that she wanted something Upsy Daisyish!! I love making cakes for friends, I sort of get to do what I want, let the creativity run wild and just hope to goodness they love it.... I was a little hesitant at first about the idea of this cake, I thought that the hair would cause a problem, you know what with gravity and all, however, it all just seemed to fall into place. I loved making the Haahoos, actually I think I just love saying Haahoos! I also made some pretty daisy cupcakes as well, just to finish it all off! Happy birthday to the very cute Miss Hope. xoxo.

Yeeha....
Favourite customer Natalie from Yongala Lodge requested some cuppies for her sister's 21st. Natalie's brief, "she likes pink, she's a bit of a country girl, lives in Cloncurry, oh she has these pink boots that she loves". So from that I create this. Happy birthday Kelly.

Introducing....
Happy Cakes isn't always about me. I'm lucky to come from a family of talented chefs & cooks. My sister Maria, definitely falls into that category especially when it comes to, you guessed it, cakes!! She's a talented chef, runs a successful cafe with her husband who is yet another talented chef, is a mother to my 2 spunky nephews and yet still finds the time to bring her experience to Happy Cakes. Her area of expertise is with the larger cakes. She says she doesn't have the patience for cupcakes!! So with the both of us working together as Happy Cakes we can now bring you everything from small to large to everything in between happy cakes!! Here's a cake she made for little Quinn over the weekend who turned 1.

Sushi Cupcakes.
Sushi cupcakes anyone? I promise there not sushi tasting, not that there's anything wrong with sushi, love it personally, these though are the sweet sugary kind!! I made these for Lilly who had her 10th birthday party over the weekend, her theme was Japanese and she personally requested sushi type cupcakes!! I do love the weird yet wonderful requests I receive, to be honest I love it.
