Graduation Happy Cakes
A BIG congratulations to Erin Goldsack. After 3 1/2 years of studying Erin completed her Bachelor of Journalism this week. Mum Bernadette wanted to do something special for Erin, and I couldn't say no either. Last week in the Townsville Eye there was an article which Erin wrote about the cupcake craze hitting Townsville. I was lucky enough to be interviewed for this and pictures of my work were featured. So congratulations Erin and a BIG thank you for a fab article. Good luck for the future.

Happy Cakes for the Adults!!!
Well, this is the first request I've received for adult cakes. I was wondering how long it would take before someone asked us to make something like this, boob cupcakes with a larger boob cake as the centrepiece. Marnie and her Mum ordered these for her Dad's 60th, and I've been told they were a massive hit!! Happy birthday Geoff.

A Bouquet of Flowers (or Cupcakes...)
Finally I've gotten round to making a bouquet of flowers, which are totally edible. I've been wanting an excuse to make one of these for quite some time now and what better excuse than for one of my daughters teachers, whose birthday was yesterday. I'm blessed really, Paige's teachers are really lovely and the fact that Paige loves them is also a bonus. I do believe they deserve all the recognition they can get, so Happy Birthday Mrs R. Already I'm wondering what will I do for Ms B!! No pressure!!
P.S Perfect for any mother or centrepiece at your next event!!

An Island Wedding.
Well today was a bit special for me. Today Luke and Carinna were married. They were my very first ever official booking when I started Happy Cakes, and I couldn't have asked for a nicer first customer. Carinna and Luke are both just so lovely, I wish them all the best. Congratulations. As I was coming home this afternoon on the boat, I looked out to the sunset and really, it was just the most perfect day for an island wedding.

Thank You Cakes.
Was recently contacted by Susan who wanted to show her gratitude to the great people at Greencross Vets here in Townsville. They'd taken care of her beloved dog who unfortunately passed away. Having had Greencross Vets look after my own dog, I know just how caring they are! I hope the great staff over at Greencross enjoyed them!
